GIKI Concert
November 15, 2010 § 4 Comments
It’s been a while since I uploaded something on the blog. I finally shifted to DHA phase II and it’s pretty far away from civilization and there isn’t anything to capture here and also it’s either university or home these days. I’m itching to get my camera out and take some pics. Hopefully ill be able to do that now that my midterms are over and after the Eid holidays. Aneways I totally forgot about these AWESOME concert photos I took at the GIKI concert. Ali Azmat was just amazing. He truly is the best desi rock star and Omran Shafique was just high but amazing on the guitar. hahahah

This is quite an old pic, took this shot when I was testing my canon 500D. Didn’t like it first but now it has become one of my favorites. Has a very unique film look to it. I like the expression, the old vintage colors, the grain effect due to the high ISO. I’ve stopped using high ISOs because of my 50mm lens but noise just looks so AWESOME when it comes to street photography

VHS days

Remember the old days of VHS tapes? They had soo much problems like the head and I remember that we had to use a spoon to rewind the tape and rewinding and forwarding was a headache. The best part was we rented the tapes cuz we couldn’t afford them or they weren’t available. These DVD players and the blue rays are soo boring…and I miss the VHS years. I still have my VCR and a bunch of tapes and they still work perfectly fine unlike CDs… This shop in Islamabad is still selling tapes and the surprising thing is people are still renting them….WOW!!!!!
What’s for lunch?

There is a funny story behind this picture. I was taking a shot of this guy with the beautiful background but he was like “WHAT THE FUCK? WHY ARE YOU TAKING MY PICTURE?” and I was like “FUCK YOU!!!” and he was like “FUCK YOU” and I was like “FUCK YOU” and he was like “FUCK YOU MAN”…haha u get the idea. But on a serious note, thats the thing with street photography, You never know, some people might get really pissed and might get in your face. Maybe Its better to ask them before taking their picture.
